Freedom from the 'False Self'

Here are a few moments of magic-as-metaphor for my consciousness hacker friends.

Ramana Maharshi is considered by some to be the 'father of non-duality'.

He describes our true nature as 'pure being', outside of definition or form. A presence that is free of identification.

He also describes a 'false self', that forms in early childhood. This is a mental framework that is a made up of emotional, physical and mental patterning, environmental influence, media-washing, and lizard-brain survival. Some call this the ego, others call it the parasite. There are two things it does.

First it claims our experiences as 'pure being'. Like staking ownership of a person or an animal, pulling the experience of ‘pure being’ out of the moment, and into the stormy mental maze of thoughts, cravings, fears and resentments.

The second thing it does, is convince us that 'we are IT'. When, in fact, are NOT. Otherwise we would eject such a punishing guest.

We remain ‘pure being’, but its power and gravitational pull into the worldly current make us identify AS it. Thus, the enslavement continues.

This 'parasite' has taken the lives of many hosts that it has claimed ownership of, via addiction, cruel self-talk, etc.

I created this video to help others DIS-IDENTIFY with the ‘false self’, and remember their universal, ‘pure being’. To cultivate the presence that is free of all form; a loving presence that is both invincible and defenseless at the same time.

Ram Dass said, "I would like to be free of the limitations of the social world, but I would like to do it by being free rather than by trying to get high."

Self cannot get out of self. Or, put another way, when there is a tug of war, if one side lets go. The war is over.
